November 2. Memories. Memorias de unas matriarcas: madre y abuela. Noviembre 2

My mother and my grandmother are like jewels that shine with more intensity as the years pass, and their presence is missed in my heart.

I remember when they told me:

· Are you going to lose your hearing because I cannot buy that dress?

· Easy come, easy go

· You should respect a poor person in the same way that you respect the rich

· Study hard so that you don’t get stuck with a husband just so he can pay the bills.

When I have had to face adversity and injustice, to face the inherent problems of all human beings, their ideas have allowed me to keep in my life at that point some values that help to maintain me afloat, in those difficult moments, those dark moments, where hope seems to vanish in the arduous things of life.

They were women who never let me justify myself to avoid responsibilities. I believe that this was the hardest lesson in my life and was the most important lesson that I can recall learning from them.

Now that they are traveling in the stars, I can thank them, because they made me understand very early in life that life is not a bed of roses, and thanks to that I can keep my faith and my moral values afloat.

quizás aprender solos, no sé. Autodidáctico, autosuficiente... a veces no es tan malo.

Your mother and grandmother taught you wise words of wisdom. "Life is not a bed of roses" --- I embrace this.I too learned this the hard way:-) However we must strive for kindness, thoughtfulness, sensitivity and love among our fellow men. Education is the key! I agree. Peace.
