The Curse of the North.

There is a curse that falls on many who have to leave their lands if they don’t take precautions before setting foot on those shores.

The first thing that happens is that we forget ..

We forget to laugh,

We forget our blood,

We forget who we are,

We forget to be content with no reason,

We forget to help with only our heart in our hand,

And we forget the smile engraved in our soul, which is not erased.

And we begin to want more,

To want this,

To want that,

And wanting and wanting,

And buying,

And buying more,

So that we are never satisfied,

And always there is something new …

And so the moment arrives

When we have finally forgotten

How we enjoyed the beans

Between smiles and jokes,

With friends

And family

… We no longer even remember

How to feel happy with what we have.

Little by little everything is being erased

Our culture is erased

Our identity is erased

And we become very poor inside

Empty

Like a jug without water

But with many possessions

Which are soulless,

And

We can only see

The things we don’t have

And always there is something else that we need!

So that this curse will not fall on you and your descendants, whistle until your heart remembers how to be content with nothing or almost nothing … and then every dollar which comes into your hands will no longer be contaminated by this nameless curse!
